The Great Door of the Sablat of the Maharma
The great door of the Sablat Al-Maharma in Al-Mudhayrib, Ash-Sharqiyah North Governorate, Sultanate of Oman. The door was made in Zanzibar from pod mahogany, which is pinkish in hue. The Arabic inscription on the lintel translates, "The year 1308 [A.H. corresponding to 1890-91 C.E.] Allah is our keeper. He is the Merciful and the Compassionate"..
